Jack Tempchin

Jack Tempchin is one of America's most celebrated songwriters, whose timeless compositions have become part of the soundtrack of modern rock. Best known for penning the Eagles classics "Peaceful Easy Feeling" and "Already Gone,"Tempchin's remarkable career spans more than five decades, with songs recorded by The Eagles, Glenn Frey, George Jones, Glen Campbell, Emmylou Harris, Trisha Yearwood, Tanya Tucker, Johnny Rivers, Richie Havens, and many more. His collaborations with Glenn Frey also produced enduring solo hits including "The One You Love," "Smuggler's Blues," "You Belong to the City," and "The Heat Is On," cementing his place among the most influential American songwriters of his generation.

In 2021, Tempchin began performing with San Diego rock band Mrs. Henry, first joining the group for their acclaimed production of The Last Waltz. The musical chemistry quickly evolved beyond the stage and into the studio, where Tempchin and the band began recording live, all-analog performances for Blind Owl Records. Captured without overdubs, the sessions—including "Waiting," "Bob Dylan's Whiskey," "Rambling Freeborn Man," and "Drunkard's Dream"—showcase Tempchin's songwriting through the soulful, harmony-rich sound of Mrs. Henry. "The thing that excites me most about Mrs. Henry is the singing all four of those guys can do," Tempchin told American Blues Scene. "They can instantly slap incredible harmonies on anything. I feel like this band backing me up lifts my songs to completely new places and gives them a lot more meaning." American Blues Scene called the collaboration "the epitome of the Jack Tempchin and Mrs. Henry collaboration," praising the recordings as "live, real, raw, honest and full of emotion."
