Description

Blind Owl Records proudly presents Lee Wilder’s debut album, Sound Emporium — a multi-genre, imaginative, and emotionally charged collection that defies boundaries.

Described by Wilder as a “bipolar gospel journey,” the record marks his evolution from frontman of cult-favorite San Diego band The Paragraphs into a bold solo artist. Created during a personal rebirth, the album channels vulnerability and reckoning into an electrifying, analog-driven masterpiece.

Recorded all-analog to tape at Audio Design in San Diego with producers Dude Cervantes and Jordan Andreen, Sound Emporium blends raw first-take performances with expansive, cinematic production. The result: a timeless rock record that swings between chaos and beauty — a “party in your speakers” (American Highways).

Drawing from the alt-rock of Nirvana, the outlaw melodies of Johnny Cash, the dark grandeur of Nick Cave, and the psychedelic mysticism of The Doors, Sound Emporium builds a wall of sound that’s equally tender and feral.

As part of Blind Owl Records’ 100% Certified Analog Collection, the album was tracked, mixed, and mastered completely from tape — preserving the warmth, grit, and spirit of true analog sound across every format.
