Blind Owl Records proudly presents Californias Burning, the long-awaited sophomore album from Zander Schloss — best known as the bassist of The Circle Jerks, and a frequent collaborator with Joe Strummer of The Clash and filmmaker Alex Cox (Repo Man, Sid and Nancy).

With Californias Burning, Schloss transforms from punk veteran to visionary songwriter and composer. The album is a cinematic journey of fingerpicked acoustic meditations, baroque orchestral flourishes, and psychedelic textures that shimmer with a rare emotional depth.

Produced by Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age, PJ Harvey), the record captures Schloss’ evolution into a fully realized artist — one who writes, arranges, and performs with poetic precision and intimate vulnerability. The result is a warm, immersive sound that feels both classic and otherworldly.
